Another Friday has arrived, which means the perfect timing for the latest in African music. While Afrobeats is dominated by males, we enjoy a breath of fresh air by a female artist named Victoria Kimani, who is a Kenyan, Nigerian based artist. We also enjoy the video of Yung L’s single Shooga and a new record by Slim Kofi called Tingele is a catchy tune which should be on repeat anywhere.
Victoria Kimani – Show
Show is a record which has received countless airplay on African radio and in the club scenes. To us, the record is that good that we assumed that a video was out already. Victoria chose for a sexy black and white theme for this video. We think it suits the song perfectly. We recommend listening to her mixtape Queen Victoria to hear more from where that came from.
Yung L – Shooga
Nigerian singer and songwriter from Nigeria, Young L recently dropped a catchy tune with his single Shooga. Reviews wrote about Shooga as ‘A melodious, dance hall, deep drum and base song that brings to mind club nights, beach and pool parties.’ And we fully agree.
Slim Kofi – Tingele
Primarily known as Rude Boy, Slim Kofi is a Ghanaian artist dropped his single Tingele, a catchy tune that brings you to summer vibes in seconds.
Have a good Friday!
