Afrobeats sensation R2bees do a European tour

Afrodance AmsterdamIf you favor afrobeats, there is a very small change that songs like Slow Down, Walaahi, Kiss Your Hand have passed you by. R2Bees who is now known as one of Ghana’s frontrunners in the afrobeats and hiplife scenes, is having a European tour. On the 28th of February, they will perform in Amsterdam alongside ODG Fuse (Azonto, Antenna and Million Pound Girl), D-Black (Vera) and Joey B (Tonga) at Afrodance, an event co-organized by FunX radio (Dutch Urban radio station) and Gino XXL-entertainment, in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It doesn’t frequently happen where artists who all bring hits to the charts come together at an event other than on African soil. Now while afrobeats is receiving worldwide recognition, it’s about time it is celebrated in this major way and R2bees could not be left out.

Ghana Today is giving their program Showbizz an innovative spin with music artist and presenter Augustina starting from 1 march 2014. This weekly Saturday show will give you exclusive takes on Ghana music, entertainment and fashion. R2bees will be featured on this forthcoming show. Airing time is 4.30pm GMT+1.
