Behind ‘FROM KENYA w LOVE
Sapelle is and African fashion brand established in 2012. FROM KENYA w LOVE’ is inspired by Sapelle’s wish to highlight the wealth of talent, pride and love that permeates Kenya’s culture. Kenyan culture has continued to thrive through 50 years of independence and for generations before that, and given birth to some of the best designers and crafters on the continent. Even in the aftermath of Westgate Mall lies the overriding desire to show off this creativity to the world.
During this month, London’s West End will be the place to shop exclusively from international established ladies and menswear labels. The Kenyan labels that are participating are:
Anna Adero, Jamil Walji, Katungulu Mwendwa, John Kaveke, KikoRomeo, Kooroo, and Riri Jewellery.
Sapelle will also have its Winter 13 ladies wear collection with pieces that fuse African flair with seasonal textures like wool and leather.
